DON'TS Don't
overload your computer. Research
or ask before you buy new software or hardware for your computer. Know its limits and know its
compatibilities. Don't
skimp on protection tools. Use
quality surge protectors (not just power strips) and top rated virus control.
Don't
use illegal or pirated software. Crackz, warez, appz or gamez often contain
viruses that can cause the loss or theft of your personal information. Don't
give just anyone free access to your computer. Your
"computer genius" nephew or niece may be smart, but is it worth the
risk? Prevent others from altering your computer without your knowledge. Don't
throw any of your software floppy disks or CDs away. If
you have computer problems, you'll most likely need them. Even if you remove
the software from your computer, that disk or CD might be needed should your
computer need serviced. |
